Faith and Encouragement

Vujicic, Nick. Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action. 1st ed. Colorado Springs, Colo: Waterbrook Press, 2012. 240 pg. $14.99

Nick Vujicic is an incredible human being. Vujicic the author of Unstoppable is motivational speaker, evangelist, author, and the director of the nonprofit organization Life Without Limbs. Nick has become a great inspiration to people around the world, regularly speaking to large crowds about overcoming obstacles and achieving dreams.

Vujicic is most definelty a person who is an example of living out faith in action. A person cannot help but continue to the words of “faith” or “faith in action” on every page. There are example after example of either Vujicic or someone that he is encountered of how faith has moved them past a difficult time in their life. God is in the center of Vujicic’s life and all that he does. “Having faith, beliefs, and convictions is a great thing, but life is measured by actions you take based upon them. You can build a great life around those things you believe and have faith in. I’ve built mine around my belief that I can inspire and bring hope to people facing challenges in their lives. That belief is rooted in my faith in God. I have faith that he put me on this earth to love, inspire, and encourage others and especially to help all who are willing to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I believe that I can never earn my way to heaven, and by faith I accept the gift of the forgiveness of sins through Christ Jesus. However, there’s so much more than just ‘getting in’ through the Pearly Gates. It is also about seeing others changed by the power of His Holy Spirit, having a close relationship with Jesus Christ throughout this life, and then being further rewarded in heaven” (10).

Encouragement and faith are the principles that the whole book is built on. As a person who has a child with a disability it is a very encouraging book to read. If you want to read a book about how God work’s through His children this is a great book. I would recommend this book for anyone to read. It is a very uplift book as well as a demonstration of God’s grace. I received this book for free from Random House for this review.
